Pricing

As a general guideline, there is a flat-rate charge of twenty five dollars per hour for each restoration or image editing job, with a minimum charge of twenty five dollars, plus shipping. The first print is free, additional prints are $2.00 each. There is a $2.00 charge for images burned on to a CD.

An exact estimate cannot be given without seeing the photograph(s) to be worked on. A low resolution scan sent via e-mail to The Print Doctor is usually sufficient. Contact The Print Doctor for more pricing information relating to your needs.

For graphic design, the flat rate charge is twenty five dollars per hour, with a minimum charge of fifty dollars, plus shipping.

For web design, price will vary according to complexity of the site. Estimate available on request.

The Process

Photographs, slides or negatives mailed to The Print Doctor will be digitally scanned at high resolution, then the resulting image files worked on using professional-grade software on a Macintosh G4 computer, leaving the original media untouched.

The Print Doctor will accept scans of photographs either by e-mail or on CD, provided that the scans are of sufficient quality and resolution (300 dpi minimum).

Once converted to digital data the images can be preserved indefinitely, Clients can choose to receive the image digitally on CD (Mac or PC formatted, tif or jpeg format as specified by the client), or as a high quality glossy print, or can choose both options.

Photo quality, high resolution prints are produced on an Olympus dye-sublimation printer. This produces prints indistinguishable from photo lab-produced glossy photographs, superior to even the best quality ink jet or laser printer output. All prints are coated with a transparent glossy protective layer. Maximum print size is 10" x 7 5/8"; prints of any size up to this can be produced to fit standard mattes or for custom framing.

The Print Doctor Guarantee

We want you to be completely happy with your photographs or designs. When complete, our work will be available for you to preview via e-mail. If you like what you see, payment will be requested, and once received your photographs will be mailed to you. If the preview does not meet with your satisfaction, The Print Doctor will re-work. If you are still unhappy, originals will be mailed back to you and all you will be requested to pay is the minimum charge, plus shipping.
